BAD LAB recently officially announced their latest partnership with BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM, to launch a campaign aptly named ‘MAN-GINEERED FOR POWER’. The initiative is part of BAD LAB’s mission to support local talents thus creating more Malaysian riders that are able to compete in the global stage.
BAD LAB (Brave and Daring Laboratory), a Malaysian brand known internationally with its range of grooming products that are MAN-GINEERED for unconventional men who are BRAVE AND DARING is seen as the perfect brand to partner with the highly respected BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM – an entity under BOON SIEW HONDA that manages the motorsports section of the giant motor vehicle company that originates from Japan. The announcement today was made after months of discussion between parties to determine the objectives of the campaign and sponsorship, exploring possibilities both creatively and commercially.

As a campaign, MAN-GINEERED FOR POWER is part of our strategy to support and develop a new generation of Malaysian riders by providing a platform for them to showcase their skill and learn from some of the best riders in this country”.
As a tease prior to the official announcement of this nationwide campaign, BAD LAB have previously launched a contest for its customers offering limited edition motorbikes as its main prizes.
BAD LAB also unveiled the official riders that will represent BAD LAB KC HONDA RACING TEAM. The selection is a true testament to the commitment of BAD LAB to nurture and give-rise to more Malaysian riders that are able to compete internationally in the thriving global motorsports industry.
The riders are:
Muhammad Irfan Haykhal Bin Amidi, 16, Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus
Adib Hareez Bin Hazwat, 17, Johor Darul Takzim; and
Muhammad Farish Iqmal Bin Khayrul Elyas, 17, Johor Darul Takzim
According to Zulhelmi Ahmad, Manager of BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM, “We are delighted to have BAD LAB on board as a partner to form this year’s BAD LAB KC HONDA RACING TEAM. Known for its daring marketing initiatives that often tap into current youth trends and/or sub-culture and in the process championing the goals of their audience, BAD LAB in more ways than one, illustrates our core slogan – ‘SEMANGAT IMPIAN’,”
“The four riders selected to carry the torch to race for BAD LAB KC HONDA RACING TEAM are young Malaysians below the age of 25, armed with huge talent and the right winning attitude. To be handpicked by BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM speaks volumes about their credibility and potential to go far in this industry, perhaps to one day emerge as a world champion in their respective categories” he added.
Also revealed at the event are the team’s specially designed official racing suit and motorbikes that will be used by the riders, meticulously designed with accents of black and gold.
The riders of BAD LAB KC HONDA RACING TEAM will be racing for their team for the first time starting from this 25 February 2023 at the upcoming first round of the 30th edition of Petronas Malaysian Cub Prix (2023), which will be held at the Sepang International Circuit race track.“We have high hopes for this team and our four riders. However, what is more important as a takeaway from this initiative is sending out a positive message to everyone out there, especially the youth, that with hard work, drive and persistence, nothing is impossible. And with BAD LAB, we can all look and feel fantastic while striving to achieve our various life mission”, says Lum Chong Heng enthusiastically.
